I tried making a potato cream cheese soup in the crockpot for my Meatless Monday recipe. It called for ham which I simply omitted instead of substituting. Bad call. Bad soup. By bad I mean edible but not post-worthy.
What are you guys having for dinner?
On deadline tonight so I'll be back with more tomorrow.
We had a good meatless dish — Lebanese pita pockets made with tofu, cucumber, tomatoes, mint, parsley, raisins, lettuce with tahini on top. Pretty good. Except usually it’s delicious. Tonight was without pita or fresh tomatoes (won’t that kill any dish?). Usually, it’s spot on. Good luck with your deadline :).

Hi Nathalie-
Joey here, from Meatless Monday. If you’re looking for a creamy meatless soup, I would try our Mexican Jocque soup, it counterbalances sweet and tangy quite nicely:
http://www.meatlessmonday.com/jocoque-soup/. Sorry your soup didn’t go too well!
I just wanted to write and tell you how much I appreciate your spreading the word about Meatless Monday. Our intern, Ashwini, thanked you last week, and it really is amazing what the small effort of cutting meat from your diet once a week can do for your personal health as well as our planet.
To show our appreciation, I have linked to Nathalie’s Notes under our “Who’s Going Meatless” section of meatlessmonday.com. Check it out! http://www.meatlessmonday.com (“Who’s Going Meatless” is in the middle left-hand side.) I encourage you to keep up the great blogging every week!
I’d love to be in more direct communication with you so we can better coordinate outreach efforts. Maybe email would be more convienent? Please email me back at jlee@mondaycampaigns.org.
Happy Blogging!

Hi, we are a Meatless Monday family, too. 🙂 I love that you posted about your unblogworthy soup. 😉 They can’t all be winners, can they? Happy eating. 🙂
