Nathalie's Notes

Raising the Hardy Boys

Word Count today: zero (So I can't be accused of only posting when I've got something to show for my time, besides, you know a healthy, happy kid).

I've been working on my column this week. I managed to write the entire thing about the flu without once mentioning the word "vaccine." On purpose. I've solicited the opinions of those I trust on the subject and other than that … whatever. I do however have a blog post brewing on the whole H1N1 vaccine debacle around here.

I was reminded that I hadn't posted the link to October's article yet … pregnancy fog has settled in nice and heavy. So here's that:

In other news … I think I'm getting sick and am off to bed. There was something else but I've forgotten already. See above paragraph.

  1. Love the article, as you already know…brings it ALL back. You have a gift girl! Also love the “Hardy Boys” – sounds epic already! I have NO time to write…ughhh so frustrating. Mid-term evals and out of town drop ins, AND I’ve got the itch so it’s on my mind all the time which makes the other task all the more difficult, sigh. xxx

Congrats, Nathalie! I’m so happy for you! It is crazy what people will say to you when you’re pregnant. Though I didn’t ever have much trouble with strangers wanting to touch my belly (what’s up with that anyway? I would never!), when I was about 7 or 8 months pregnant, my husband’s aunt walked in and exclaimed, “Wow! Your butt is getting really big!” So, so, so not cool.

Well H1N1 has landed at our house, no vaccines here, and it has simply been routine cold and flu stuff.
